Sometimes I make up lyrics to songs. And then sometimes I can't remember the original words unless I think about it really, really, hard.
For example:
"Michael row your boat ashore" in my mind is
"My goat knows the bowling score"
Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir (from Lady Marmalade) is a lot more fun as
"View a cookie shade in a pot, say what?"
"Sugar Pie Honey Bunch" makes ever so much more sense as
"Sugar fried bunny guts"
"She's got a ticket to ride..and she don't care" to me is the same thing as
"She's got a chicken to hide...and it's in her hair!"
I have a bajillion more but I will spare you - I really want to find out what lyrics YOU make up!

So I'm guessing you might not want to be on the new show "Singing Bee' since you make things up as you go?
I like that they all end up dealing with food.
Food does seem to be a theme - I had not noticed before now....
I have not seen Singing Bee, but it sounds as if I would be a dismal failure on it!
The only ones that come to mind right now are Christmas Carols...the boys always sang "Oh what fun it is to ride on a lawn mower slopen sleigh" or my personal favorite: "Deck the halls with falling jolly"
I'll keep thinking, there must be more in there somewhere!!
Foodwise, I'd stay away from the bunny guts.... even if they ARE sugar fried.
Just the sort of thing that made us nuts as kids. Now that I'm a parent we have:
"Toddler Taco, toddler taco, lalalalalalala..." to La Cucaracha
and
"He's pajamin, he pajamin, do dodo do do he's pajaaaamin" to the "we be jammin" break in "don't worry be happy"
and we have one more but it's too long for this comment.
Sam, my friend, you have a point.
There are many lyrics that we have made up over the years. However, this is likely not the forum in which to detail these lyrics. Besides, it could mess up the discernment process!
Yes - some of our lyrics have NOT been family hour material!
But here is one that we may want ot consider for our ever observant son-in-law.....
Saaaam....don't eat her food from song!
Okay, I have to get to work now.
The only thing I can remember is.....Oh I wish I was a Husky Husquavarna, that is what I really want to be, cause if I was a Husky Husquavarna everyone would be in love with me! sang full voice to the Oscar Meyer WEiner song....could this have been a beginning of your food conversion songs???
NO It's Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam you made the pants too long!
And the oscar song was probably the beginning of all songs food related given my penchant for hot dogs
How have YOU not read Harry Potter?? I feel like you would be a big fan... after you read one, it's basically a drug and you become addicted. I dare you!!!
Hahahaah! This cracked me up! Especially the Lady Marmalade version. Do post more, I at least don't mind reading it!
