Home of Carnival and mysterious masks....
Charming canals...
Winding, narrow streets lit from above...
Romantic gondola rides...
St. Marks sqare that features a statue of St. Theodore slaying a dragon (I wonder if his Mimi called him Theodorable?)...
Oh yes! And that dashing young Italian chef who is planning on opening a restaurant in Alexandria VA
This is the one to whom I promised Erin's hand in marriage. I don't think that it would hold up in a court of law because there was molto wine and limoncello involved in the entire conversation. That and my Italian was about as good as his English.

Lovely! and I like your choice for a son in law--now if we can just get Erin excited!
I can't marry an Italian chef. I'd weigh 782 pounds.
Although the no English thing is promising...
I don't think you'd like no English, what if you don't understand what he's mumbling under his breath? How can you turn on him and give him your 'I will kill you stare'?
Mrs. Ann any pictures of water taxis?
I think "spouse mumblings" are recognizable in any language.
No pictures of the vaporetto, although we did avail ourselves of their use.
Lisa, I think you are right. Some of that stuff translates no matter what!
I'd just give the glare every other day or so, certian he would have earned it in that time.
Great photos. Especially the frankfurter.
