National Acolyte Festival

And you thought you had fun this week-end! Steve and I took our acolytes (ages 5 through 16) to the National Acolyte Festival this past Saturday. They participated with the other 1990 acolytes - no I am not kidding that is really how many where there - in a Eucharist celebrated by our own Bishop Chane. The procession took a really long time as you might imagine! The youngest acolyte there was four and the oldest (in a wheelchair) was 87. It was very cool.

Sunday we went to church and then to the La Plata Rotary Club Annual Lobster Fest. It's true - we know how to live. Next week-end we are going to a Craft Festival that has the potential to rival our own Affair of the Heart. I am thrilled. Steve is trying to come up with a new song to sing at the top of his lungs for this one since he cannot sing his signature "Affair of the Heart" aria. I 'll keep you posted on that one.
